As some of you already know, we have been working hard over the past few months building a brand new WordPress theme. Many hours have been spent thus far making sure every inch of this site was carefully designed and crafted to give users the best experience possible. Our goal for this WordPress theme is to sell our theme on Themeforest.

Earlier this week, we submitted our new theme to Themeforest and it was rejected. In all honesty we were really hoping that it would be accepted on our first submission, but for those of you have themes on Themeforest, or have tried to sell a theme there, you know that the submission and acceptance process can take awhile. Often times you have to submit your theme many times with various tweaks before it gets accepted. So, we are now currently making some modifications to make our new theme even better.

If you search the web, you will find many people who have gotten frustrated with the Themeforest submission process. But, there is hope. GoodLayers, a WordPress developer who sell their themes on Themeforest, recently reached the “Power Elite” milestone on Themeforest. This means that they have sold $1,000,000 worth of product on Themeforest. Incredible, but they do good work so they’ve been rewarded for it.

When they reached this milestone, Themeforest interviewed John from GoodLayers. It was quite relieving to read that their first theme was rejected many times before finally getting accepted. Some of their new themes even get rejected. You can read the whole interview here:

We are confident our new theme will eventually get accepted onto Themeforest. Our two HTML themes Simple and Spotlight have been. We are not going to give up on getting our WordPress Theme onto Themeforest. In the meantime though, I thought I would put a list together of some of the top new themes on Themeforest and what I like about them.

Inovado

With over 600 sales in its first 10 days on the market, this theme is on fire. This is just a beautiful, clean theme loaded full of useful features to customize it to fit your needs.

Clean Space

Definitely one of the best Responsive websites I’ve seen. This theme looks good at any size. There is also a pretty cool Page Builder function built in.

Ageless

Great use of color and typography on this site. Twitter widget styling on this theme is pretty cool.

Singluar

A very well done one page WordPress theme. Great for a small businesses or freelancers to use as a portfolio site.

One Touch

Metro style is in and this theme is a great example of Metro done right.

Minuscula

I’m a big fan of the menu on this website. The galleries and portfolios are also designed very well.

Metro Mag

One of the best magazine templates I’ve seen. Tons of options, clean lines, responsive.

Hipster

The name says it all. If you’re a hipster, this theme is for you! Very retro.

Coming Soon

If all goes well we are hoping to submit our new WordPress Theme to Themeforest by the end of the week. We are really excited about this theme and know that our audience is going to enjoy it.
